- Pack your items evenly in sturdy boxes, avoiding plastic bags or unsealed containers.
- Avoid overfilling boxes, especially large ones, to prevent damage to your belongings and ensure safe stacking.
- Minimize loose items, as more trips to and from the truck can increase time and cost.
- Pre-pack or transport fragile items to save on additional packing materials not included in the hourly rate.
- Protect mirrors, glass panes, and framed items with bubble wrap, and shrink-wrap upholstered items to prevent tearing during transit.
- Clear hallways and doorways of obstructions for a smooth moving process. Coordinate with neighbors or building managers if necessary.
- Transport hazardous materials, valuable items, and other excluded possessions personally to ensure their safety and security.
- Disassemble cribs and pressed wood items, as our team is unable to disassemble/reassemble these items but can transport them.
- Arrange for child care and/or pet-sitting to minimize disruptions during your move.
- Pre-sign available moving documents via email to expedite the process on moving day. Note that some documents will still require your signature on the move date.
